STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
Hunsaker & Associates—Los Angeles utilizes a comprehensive, environmentally responsible approach to storm water management for every project. This process is initiated very early on in the development of concept project plans. The integration of planning, civil engineering, and hydrology specialists within one firm enables us to create innovative project solutions that result in an efficient and comprehensive water quality plan.
We are well versed in state and local storm water requirements and have an experienced team of hydrology and water quality staff. In every project, we consider the environmental impact of storm water management and work with biologists and other experts to create eco-friendly, onsite filtration systems, such as vegetated swales.
IMPROVEMENT PLANS, STORM DRAINS, CHANNELS, and DAMS
We prepare improvement plans for drainage systems ranging from local storm drains through all types of lined and unlined open channels, to the design of dams regulated by the State Division of Safety of Dams. We also process plans for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLANS (SWPPP)
As required by state and local agencies, Hunsaker & Associates—Los Angeles is adept at preparing and processing notices of intent, SWPPPs and erosion control plans for every construction project, as required. Best management practices (BMPs), as defined by each jurisdiction, are selected and made a part of the SWPPP. We can also prepare a range of requisite post-development water quality plans.
