Principal—Engineering
Jason Fukumitsu brings 25 years of experience to all phases of the
design and management of large-scale master-planned residential and
commercial land projects. His expertise covers pre-acquisition
analysis, planning, entitlements, preliminary and final engineering,
and construction management.
A hallmark of his projects is the aesthetic incorporation of
infrastructure facility requirements into the project site plan in its
early stages. Consequently, this intelligently planned infrastructure
functions successfully within the community in the least intrusive
manner. In addition, his extensive design experience in grading,
drainage, highways, streets, sewers, flood control and water systems
minimizes the occurrence of expensive planning revisions.
In a recent project for the Newhall Land- Westside Communities, Mr.
Fukumitsu drafted guidelines and criteria to be used in designing and
reviewing the ‘private drives’ located in the community. As developers
are increasingly proposing and/or requesting to incorporate private
drives within their developments, he believed it was vital to
standardize guidelines to provide clear and up-to-date procedures to
ensure the success of future projects. The project guidelines were so
well received that the County of Los Angeles has adopted and published
them for use going forward.
In addition, Mr. Fukumitsu’s notable real estate development
engineering projects include Ritter Ranch in Palmdale, Playa Vista in
Los Angeles, Legacy in Los Angeles County, and Homestead in Los Angeles
County.
A LEED-Accredited Professional, Mr. Fukumitsu is a member of the American
Society of Civil Engineers and the American Planning Association. He
received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University. |
