CANDACE GINN
Assistant Project Manager

Candace Ginn has been with Hunsaker and Associates’ Los Angeles office for six years, and has been in the entitlement and government relations business for twelve years. Her primary responsibilities include assisting clients in the pursuit of strategically maneuvering complicated and large-scale projects through the entitlement approval process, governmental relations, coordinating sub-consultants and co-consultants, processing of tentative maps, conditional uses, variances, site plans, and Specific Plans. Candace is also involved in processing of improvement plans, clearing conditions, and obtaining tax clearance for final maps.

Candace has proven especially successful with projects in the City of Los Angeles, a notoriously difficult jurisdiction for securing entitlements. Her departmental contacts and knowledge of the process are invaluable to any land development project.

A representative list of Candace’s projects include:

  • Crossings at North Hills and Crossing at 29th Street – Processed all construction documents, variances, departmental clearances, and obtained construction permits for two non-profit, low-income housing projects in the City of Los Angeles.
  • Playa Vista – Processed street vacations, haul routes, plot plan approvals, dedications, quitclaims, and lot line adjustments as well as clearing tract map conditions. Assisted in the preparation and filing of the Phase II Playa Vista, “The Village,” entitlement applications.
  • Centennial, Tejon Ranch, CA – Assisted in the preparation and filing of the Centennial Specific Plan as well as drafting of burdens of proof associated with a general plan amendment, conditional use permit, zone change, and oak tree permit.
  • Newhall Ranch – Provided planning services for a 12,000-acre, 22,000-unit, master-planned “new town” developed by Newhall Land. Processed and prepared applications and burden of proof for tentative tract maps, general plan amendments, conditional use permits, and oak tree permits.
